Manage or cancel Roomie Pro
Roomie Pro can be bought two ways, and each one is managed in a different place. If you subscribed in the iPhone app, Apple handles the billing and only Apple can change or cancel it. If you subscribed on the Roomie website, we bill you through Stripe and you manage it there.
If you are not sure which one you have, open Purchases and subscriptions in the app. It shows your plan, your renewal date and your price, and it is the fastest way to tell.
If you subscribed in the iPhone app
Open Roomie and go to the My Profile tab.
The person icon in the bar along the bottom.
Scroll to Subscription and tap Purchases and subscriptions.
If you are subscribed, the row says "Roomie Pro, active" underneath. There is also a Roomie Pro tile near the top of the screen that opens the same place.
Check the card at the top for your plan and its status.
The badge tells you where you stand: Active, Trial, Cancels if you have already cancelled and are running out the paid time, or Issue if a payment failed. Under Billing you get the renewal date and the price.
Tap Manage Subscription to change your plan or cancel.
This opens the App Store subscription settings on top of Roomie. Changing plans and cancelling both happen there, because Apple holds the subscription.
Finish in the App Store sheet that appears.
Cancelling there stops the next charge. You keep Roomie Pro until the date already paid for, and the app switches to showing "Access until" instead of "Renews".
If you subscribed on the website
Sign in at theroomieapp.com and open the Roomie Pro page.
Use the same account you subscribed with. The page shows whether Pro is active on it.
Tap Manage subscription.
This opens our payment provider, Stripe, where you can change your card, download receipts, or cancel. When you are done, you come back to Roomie.
Deleting the Roomie app does not cancel anything. An App Store subscription keeps renewing until you cancel it in the App Store settings, whether or not the app is still on your phone.
If Manage subscription on the website tells you there is no subscription on your account, you almost certainly subscribed through Apple instead. Follow the iPhone steps above.
A badge reading Issue, or a Payment Issue banner at the top of the screen, means a charge failed and your card needs updating. Tap Update Payment Method before the date shown, or Roomie Pro ends.
Bought Roomie Plus years ago as a one-time purchase? That shows up as Lifetime, and there is nothing to cancel. You are not being charged for it.
